Bought this Skort with pocket for DisneyWorld trip. Needed extremely lightweight and breathable fabric for the 90+ degree temps. Also, I struggle with heavier thighs as I am 5’4in and aprox 160 lbs. This skort fits beautifully and is quite flattering. I especially like the silky/lycra shorts under the skirt because they are lightweight bikeshorts that don’t “ride up” between my heavy thighs. The outside skirt itself is the perfect length for me; not to long, not too short. Added bonus is the lightweight fabric is easy to wash and air-dry at the hotel. Great Skort with Pocket!

From garysum

I love the Columbia brand because they make great quality clothes. The gray color is wonderful and I like the zippered pocket on the side of the skort. However, this is the first time Columbia didn’t “wow” me with their product. I saw the skirt/skort in their store but didn’t purchase it at the time. Then I decided to order it through Amazon. Apparently this item runs slightly small. I purchased a 10 and I always wear either a size 10 or 8. The material stretches but it is snug on the backside and shows too much under curve. I wear a lot of skirts/skorts designed like this one and none of them have this type of fit. Perhaps it would have fit better in a slightly larger size (12?). That’s why I think this skirt/skort runs slightly small. This is an awesome skort with pocket!

This is the perfect alternative to shorts with pockets for a warm day. The skirt is flattering and flirty and the shorts below provide the necessary modesty to be active and still pull off wearing a short skirt. On me, the shorts do creep up, but I’m sure that is due to chubby thighs more than a design flaw in the shorts themselves. I wear a 12 in jeans but always get a 14 in Columbia because it tends to run small. The waist fits me perfectly (158 lbs 5’6″) and I may remove the drawstring since it is just in the way- especially since it is INSIDE the skirt, not outside. You may find it useful if you are between sizes or need to cinch up the waste to help with gap at the back.

The skort material is very lightweight, kind of a woven/stretch fabric. The shorts material is more of a Lycra knit. If you wash it out at night and hang to dry, the shorts will take longer to dry than the skirt but the whole thing should be dry by morning.

The price is pretty steep on these, or I’d certainly get a pair of the grill color too. The quality is there to support the price, though and I certainly do not regret the purchase.
